MANAROLA WINES
Manarola, along with the other Cinque Terre hamlets, is known as the land of vintage wines. The wine and olive oil has shaped the landscape and the terraced slopes are still there to prove it. Other than Sciacchetrà wine, well known in Monterosso whose making is documented in the aforementioned museum, the grapes harvested from the vineyards in Manarola also produce Costa de Campu and Costa da Posa, two dry white wines of local origin. Made from vermentino and albarola vines, this straw coloured wine is an excellent accompaniment to seafood.
