TREKKING IN MANAROLA
There are many footpaths that connect Manarola with the other Cinque Terre towns, running parallel with either the Blue Path that runs along the sea, or the Red Path that takes you up over the ridge.
The main ones are:
- The via dell’Amore, which stretches between Manarola and Riomaggiore and is approximately a 30 minute walk. A small flight of steps next to the train station leads up to the start of the path, which is the most famous in all the Cinque Terre, thanks to its striking location.
- The Blue Path, which stretches between Manarola and Corniglia and is approximately a 60-minute walk. The walk starts in the small port and takes you up past the cemetery, around the rocky outcrop and then continues on flat land to Corniglia, from where it is possible to ascend a 377-degree rise to the town of Lardarina.
- The sanctuary road that leads from Manarola to the Sanctuary of Volastra, Our Lady of Health and is approximately a 60-minute walk. The walk starts in the car park at the entrance to Manarola where a paved mule-track leads to Volastra.
